Integrating science with nature to heal
the health challenges of the modern world
Hi, I’m Dr. Casey
When I was in my twenties, I chased doctors and diagnoses all the way to the Mayo Clinic, in search of answers and relief from chronic pain and illness. The answers weren’t unlocked by any individual test or treatment, but something else became crystal clear: our healthcare system is not equipped to support those who do not fit into a diagnostic algorithm. I ultimately accepted that I needed to play an active role in redefining and reclaiming my own health. I started taking pre-med courses and then moved across the country to study naturopathic medicine, with the sincere hope that I could one day help others who felt their realities were unheard or unseen.
Living a full life is important to me, and I think that entails finding providers who help you live your best. Many of us, myself included, have faced physical or mental health challenges, though few of us are equipped with tools to help bring ourselves back into balance. I believe in finding and cultivating the tools/practices that support each individual based on their unique genes, lifestyle, and environment.
An empathic approach to medicine
I worked in health equity and disease prevention for a decade before attending naturopathic medical school. Today, I carry that public health training into my practice, where I specialize in preventive medicine and restoring balance to disrupted systems. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and the importance of listening to your whole story. Together we can map out your goals and build a path toward better health.
Hi, I'm Dr. Natalie
My path to naturopathic medicine was shaped by my own experience navigating chronic digestive issues that began in childhood and became more disruptive in college, leading me through a frustrating cycle of gastroenterologist visits with little improvement. At the same time, I was working as a medical assistant in a primary care practice in Washington, DC, gaining experience for medical school. This role opened my eyes to the realities of our healthcare system. I watched patients with chronic conditions receive rushed appointments with little time for care outside of prescriptions, leaving both patients and providers frustrated.
This disconnect, both as a patient and healthcare worker, pushed me to search for a different path. A late-night Google search led me to naturopathic medicine, and I was immediately drawn to its whole-person, holistic philosophy.
Whole Person Health Care
Today, I'm a licensed naturopathic doctor who treats each patient as a whole person, considering their physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being. My care is rooted in rigorous clinical training and guided by evidence-based strategies, blending nutrition, lifestyle medicine, botanicals, mind-body approaches, and, when appropriate, medications. I believe true healing often requires looking beyond conventional diagnostic algorithms and addressing the bigger picture of health.
