Integrating science with nature to heal

the health challenges of the modern world

Hi, I’m Dr. Casey

When I was in my twenties, I chased doctors and diagnoses all the way to the Mayo Clinic, in search of answers and relief from chronic pain and illness. The answers weren’t unlocked by any individual test or treatment, but something else became crystal clear: our healthcare system is not equipped to support those who do not fit into a diagnostic algorithm. I ultimately accepted that I needed to play an active role in redefining and reclaiming my own health. I started taking pre-med courses and then moved across the country to study naturopathic medicine, with the sincere hope that I could one day help others who felt their realities were unheard or unseen.

Living a full life is important to me, and I think that entails finding providers who help you live your best. Many of us, myself included, have faced physical or mental health challenges, though few of us are equipped with tools to help bring ourselves back into balance. I believe in finding and cultivating the tools/practices that support each individual based on their unique genes, lifestyle, and environment.

An empathic approach to medicine

I worked in health equity and disease prevention for a decade before attending naturopathic medical school. Today, I carry that public health training into my practice, where I specialize in preventive medicine and restoring balance to disrupted systems. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and the importance of listening to your whole story. Together we can map out your goals and build a path toward better health.

  • I am enormously grateful to Dr. Casey who is responsible for the early detection of my blood cancer. She spotted risks in my labs that were missed by my primary care doctor and sent me to an oncologist for further tests that have allowed me to start treatment months before I otherwise would have. The genetic testing helped to identify genetic characteristics that undermine my ability to handle oxidative stress and make me more at risk for cancer. Now that I am in treatment, she is coordinating with my medical team to ensure that I have the best combination of herbal and vitamin treatments to minimize stress as well as manage my osteoporosis. I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Casey’s insight to combine with traditional medicine to address my diagnosis.
